Heads up foodies - save the date 17 - 26 May because Caper Byron Bay Food & Culture Festival is back for 10 days of culinary delights, cultural experiences and community connection.
With over 20 events in the program, scattered from the beach to the hinterland, from morning to night, in restaurants, businesses and iconic landmarks, Caper Byron Bay, presented by North Byron Hotel - the official watering hole of the festival - is a celebration of the region not to be missed.
Think long lunches, intimate dinners with celebrity guest chefs, art shows, fire cooking feasts, live music, cabaret, a brewery take over and wellness experiences - all packed between the official opening and closing parties. Head to North Byron Hotel for pre and post event drinks and a full 10 days of free programming with live music, wine tastings, pop-up food experiences, a family day with pony rides and kids’ entertainment… the list goes on.
The Caper program's tasty lineup has been curated by none other than local Mullumbimby boy turned standout star, Chef Louis Tikaram. Louis has a long list of chef accolades starting with Longrain, Bentley and Tetsuya in Australia, before heading to the US and putting E.P & L.P in West Hollywood on the map, followed by a return home to Stanley Restaurant where he’s currently shaking up the Brisbane dining scene.
Louis will be joined by two of Australia’s most exciting fire cooking chefs, namely Jake Kellie of acclaimed Arkhe restaurant in Adelaide, and Ross Magnaye from Seria Kitchen in Melbourne, for two special signature food events amongst the plethora of local talent for you to choose from.
Tickets go on sale in March, with events added weekly. Head to caperbyronbay.com to purchase and sign up to be notified with every new event added.
